Itinerary for Best of Kerala - 10 Days Kerala Tour Package
DAY 01     Arrive Kochi/Ernakulam
Welcome to Kerala, God's Own Country. Upon your arrival in Kochi before noon, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. In
the afternoon, a sightseeing tour of Kochi will take you to Mattancherry Island, where you can visit the Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays), the Jewish
Synagogue (closed on Saturdays), and Jew Street. Later, visit Fort Kochi Island to see St. Francis Church, Chinese fishing nets, and other attractions.

DAY 02     Arrive Kochi/Ernakulam and Drive to Munnar (130 Kms, 4 Hrs)
After breakfast, drive through lively towns adorned with churches and temples, expansive rubber and tea plantations, pristine valleys,
and picturesque mountains to reach Munnar—the haven of peace and tranquility. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Munnar
Day 03     Day at Munnar
After breakfast, set out on a scenic exploration of Munnar, a destination known for its breathtaking landscapes and rich heritage. Visit
Mattupetty Dam, where serene waters reflect the surrounding hills, and take in the panoramic views from Pothamedu Viewpoint. Enjoy the natural
acoustics at
Echo Point and gain insight into the region’s tea legacy at the Tea Museum, along with visits to other key attractions. As the day winds down,
take a stroll through the charming town, soaking in its tranquil ambiance, or explore local markets for premium tea, coffee, and spices—a perfect souvenir of
your journey. Overnight stay in Munnar. (B)
Day 04     Munnar to Thekkady (100 Kms, 03 Hrs)
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Thekkady, a dream destination nestled amidst fragrant cardamom plantations. Along this
breathtaking route, enjoy photo stops at picturesque viewpoints or savor a cup of freshly brewed tea from a local stall. Keep your camera ready to capture
the stunning landscapes. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and unwind.
In the afternoon, explore a spice plantation, where you’ll get a fascinating glimpse into how spices like cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon
are cultivated. You may also opt for a wildlife boat safari on the Periyar Lake (tickets and entry fees to be paid directly, subject to availability).
Depending on the season, you might spot elephants, wild boars, bison, or even a playful herd of deer along the shores. Overnight stay in Thekkady. (B)
Day 05     Day at Thekkady
If you haven't done so earlier, consider going boating in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary early in the morning. (Tickets can be paid for and
purchased directly by joining the queue). While cruising on the motorboat, you may have the opportunity to spot wild animals that come to drink from the lake.
The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the streets and markets of Kumily Town. Alternatively, you can opt for additional
excursions such as a Jungle Trek, Elephant Ride, or Bullock Cart Ride, available for direct payment. Seasonal tours like the Jungle Trek, offered by
the Forest Department, are also available. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 06     Thekkady to Kumarakom (130 Kms, 4 to 4 1/2 Hours)
After breakfast, descend from the hills, passing through lush green mountains, seasonal streams, and charming towns, before arriving at
Kumarakom, an exotic backwater destination on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Check in to your hotel and relax, soaking in the serene beauty around you.
If your hotel offers a sunset cruise, it’s a great way to enjoy the enchanting views over the lake. You can also choose to indulge in
optional activities like an Ayurvedic massage, a motor canoe cruise, or a village walk, all available at an additional cost directly at the hotel.

Day 07     Kumarakom to Alleppey to board Houseboat
After an early breakfast, enjoy some free time in Kumarakom. Later, depart for Alleppey around 10:30 AM. The houseboat cruise begins
at 12:00 PM, and arriving late may cause you to miss some of the experience. On arrival board your houseboat.
As you cruise along, immerse yourself in the spectacular beauty of the backwaters, featuring palm-fringed waterways, Chinese fishing nets,
rustic homes, and temples. You may also choose to walk through the paddy fields or stroll through local villages. All meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—will
be freshly prepared and served onboard, featuring authentic Kerala cuisine.
Common facilities onboard include A/C bedrooms with private toilets, a kitchen, sundeck, and living area. The cruise will last for 4 to
5 hours during the day, as the boat will not operate after 17:00 hrs due to fishing nets. For deluxe boats, the A/C will be switched on only after 20:30
hrs. Overnight stay in Kerala Houseboat (B,L,D)
Day 08     Alleppey to Kovalam via Trivandrum ( 4 1/2 Hrs Drive)
After breakfast onboard, disembark at Alleppey around 9:00 AM, where you will be picked up. Drive through the National Highway to
Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. Upon arrival, the sightseeing tour of Thiruvananthapuram takes you to important places like Sri
Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Temple Museums, Sri Chitra Art Gallery (closed on Fridays), Napier Museum (closed on Fridays), etc. After sightseeing,
drive to Kovalam, a beautiful beach famous for its palm-fringed bays and exotic tropical beauty. On arrival, check in, and the rest of the day is at
leisure to be on your own. Overnight at Kovalam. (B)
Day 09     At Kovalam. Optional excursion to Kanyakumari
After breakfast, the day is at leisure to enjoy Kovalam Beach and its attractions on your own. For those not opting for the Kanyakumari
excursion, Thiruvananthapuram sightseeing can be done this morning
If you prefer more sightseeing during your tour, you might consider an optional day excursion to Kanyakumari, a beautiful town at the
southern tip of India. En route, visit the Sri Padmanabhapuram Palace. Upon arrival in Kanyakumari, the sightseeing tour includes visits to the
Bhagavathy Amman Temple, Wax Museum, and Vivekananda Rock Memorial. In the late evening, proceed to watch the spectacular sunset from India's
southern tip, where three great oceans meet. After the sunset, return to your hotel in Kovalam for an overnight stay.

Day 10     Depart from Trivandrum
After breakfast, take some leisurely moments to soak in the last glimpses of Kerala’s beauty. Enjoy a relaxed morning, perfect for
some last-minute photos to capture the essence of your journey or for a final stroll around your resort surroundings. You can also double-check your
belongings and pack at ease before departure. (B)
By noon, we will transfer you to Trivandrum airport (TRV, 30 Minutes away) or Trivandrum Railway Station (TVC, 01 Hour away),
for your return journey. We recommend booking your flight or train departing after 17:00 hrs. It has been a real pleasure serving you over these few days.

You will have to arrive at Kochi Airport (COK). If by train, you will have arrive at Ernakulam Town
(ERN) or Ernakulam Junction (ERS). Departure should be from Trivandrum Airport (TRV) or Trivandrum Railway Station (TVM)
Departure Tips
Most hotels in Kerala follow 12 Noon check-in and 1000 Hrs check-out practice.In order to enhance the experience
you can arrive in the morning before noon. We recommend arriavls between 0930-1130 Hrs for this package.
Departure Tips
We recommend to depart Trivandrum after say 1600 Hrs. Departing in the afternoon may help you for some last minute
packagings and photo sessions.
Tour Extension Ideas
Incase you have extra days and happy with this routing you can conisder extra night at Kovalam. Inacse you dont want Kochi
you can cut it and increase it either at Kumarakom or Kovalam. To do this day 01 arrival should be before 1000 Hrs.
